SW Team Lead

Role Summary

Lead and coordinate the software team across the stack for Arago's AI accelerator products. Drive performance optimization, deploy pilot and prototype software stacks, and ensure alignment between client requirements and deliverables.

Work closely with chip architects and hardware teams during early silicon bring-up, remain hands-on with code and architecture, and hire and mentor engineers to grow the team.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, hands-on development, and client-facing coordination.

• Own and drive the software stack for AI accelerator products, balancing rapid delivery with long-term technical foundations.
• Collaborate with chip architecture and hardware teams on hardware–software co-design and early silicon bring-up.
• Lead development across kernel libraries, runtimes, drivers, firmware, and developer tooling as required.
• Optimize AI workloads for performance, efficiency, memory usage, and reliability on emerging hardware.
• Remain hands-on with architecture, coding, debugging, code reviews, and performance analysis while mentoring the team.
• Partner with clients to translate technical requirements into deliverables, scope, priorities, and realistic timelines.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, leadership, and communication abilities.

• Strong background in systems software for AI/ML accelerators, GPUs, CPUs, or other high-performance compute platforms.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture, memory systems, parallel computing, and hardware–software interaction.
• Proven ability to lead small engineering teams while maintaining significant individual contribution.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Experience with testing and deployment infrastructure for large-scale software projects.
• Strong communication and project ownership skills; ability to translate client requirements into technical scope and timelines.
• English proficiency at a professional level.

Preferred / nice-to-have

• Experience with Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with low-level software such as compilers, drivers, and firmware.
• Experience profiling and optimizing AI workloads for performance, memory efficiency, and hardware utilization.
• Familiarity with AI inference platforms such as vLLM and SGLang.
• Strong background in mathematics.
