Senior System Architect
QuantWareJob Title
Senior System Architect
Role Summary
Lead development of system-level design frameworks and tooling to deploy QuantWare's QPU technology across quantum computing and HPC infrastructures. Own MBSE tool development, parameterized full-stack quantum computer blueprints, and standardized component libraries while coordinating with system integrators, roadmap teams, and supply-chain partners.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of hands-on experience in complex systems engineering, system modeling, or multi-disciplinary hardware architecture.
Responsibilities
Key duties:
- Architect parameterized full-stack quantum computer blueprints covering QPU requirements, thermal budgets, RF signal paths, cryogenic systems, and HPC integration.
- Develop and implement the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool: define modeling structure, logic, and trade-offs; work with software teams on implementation.
- Build, curate, and maintain standardized component libraries; identify interface requirements, supply-chain trade-offs, and risks.
- Design hardware–software control interfaces between classical HPC job schedulers (e.g., SLURM, Qaptiva) and the QPU calibration/control layer.
- Work with ecosystem managers and partner system integrators to resolve interface, cost, and timeline mismatches and ensure deployment readiness.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 8+ years in complex systems engineering, system modeling, or multi-disciplinary hardware architecture.
- Proven MBSE expertise (SysML, Python-based digital-twin frameworks, or custom MBSE tools) and experience establishing MBSE methodologies.
- Hardware domain experience with complex, high-CAPEX systems involving chip-based architectures, RF signal chains, and thermal management (examples: Aerospace, Defense, HPC, semiconductor equipment).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across software, supply-chain, and integration teams and to take technical ownership.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience integrating HPC schedulers with quantum control systems.
Education Requirements
Master's or PhD in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
