Design and develop custom laser devices (Gen 1 and Gen 2) and work on their integration with a wafer-scale interposer. The role requires hands-on involvement across design, manufacturing handoff, validation, and qualification activities.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

• Design and iterate custom laser devices for Gen 1 and Gen 2 products.

• Develop and execute validation and qualification plans for laser devices.
• Own and deliver at least one portion of the design-to-production process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, test, packaging, systems) to meet product requirements.

• Must-have: Deep practical understanding of laser design, manufacturing, validation, and qualification.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience and ownership of at least one stage of the laser development lifecycle.
• Must-have: Experience contributing to novel or industry-first laser designs.
• Nice-to-have: Direct experience with VCSEL design, validation, or qualification.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with large VCSEL arrays and high-density laser arrays.
