Product Development Engineer for Discrete Power
Role Summary
Join the Manufacturing team in Takasaki to accelerate development and timely release of discrete power products (MOSFETs). The role supports product definition, prototype verification, reliability testing, and ramp to volume production.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include product development activities across design, verification, and transfer-to-production.
- Develop new discrete power devices (MOSFETs) from prototype to production.
- Obtain cost estimates from candidate sites and support selection of mass-production locations.
- Create development schedules, estimate development costs, and manage approval (DCP).
- Execute prototype work at production sites (wafer, assembly, etc.).
- Perform reliability testing and failure analysis; verify mass-production readiness.
- Design layouts using existing processes and evaluate product characteristics.
- Drive PCNs (product change notifications) for existing production products.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and language expectations.
- Experience in development of ICs or discrete power products.
- Knowledge of semiconductor wafer processes and assembly (packaging) operations.
- Experience and knowledge of semiconductor reliability testing and failure analysis.
- English: conversational or higher (TOEIC ~600 or equivalent). Japanese: business level (JLPT N2 or equivalent).
