Job Title

Yield / Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Position based at GlobalFoundries India center in Bengaluru supporting 200mm and 300mm wafer fabs across the US, Singapore, and Germany. Responsible for electrical characterization, yield analysis, and production lot disposition to improve product and line yield and support manufacturing operations.

Works with process module engineering and cross-functional teams to identify yield limiters, implement corrective actions, and contain excursions to protect supply.

Experience Level

Mid-level — experience guidance: approximately 2–6 years depending on degree (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include sustaining production yields, analyzing electrical data, and supporting fab operations.

  • Monitor electrical performance trends and disposition holds from electrical and sort tests.
  • Analyze failing electrical parameters and perform rapid data mining to determine root causes and drive yield improvements across multiple products.
  • Develop and improve yield characterization and data-analysis methodologies to identify yield limiters and correlate electrical signals with inline defectivity and metrology.
  • Support process-module engineering through electrical testing, inline metrology, and yield analysis to improve cost, cycle time, and manufacturing robustness.
  • Investigate scrap, support process change review boards, and handle urgent fab operational issues.
  • Communicate issues and status clearly to global home teams; provide timely reporting.
  • Be flexible in job assignments and participate in rotational weekend shifts as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, domain experience, and workplace capabilities.

  • Experience in high-volume semiconductor or electronics manufacturing, preferably in process modules/equipment (200mm/300mm).
  • Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), structured problem solving, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Good understanding of semiconductor process technology and device behavior.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; reliable on-time delivery of assigned work.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and ability to work within a global matrixed team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-have:

  • Scripting and coding skills, especially R and Python.

Education Requirements

B.E. / B.Tech with ~4–6 years' relevant experience, or M.Sc. / M.Tech with ~2–5 years' relevant experience in Electrical (Microelectronics) / Electronics Engineering or Applied Physics. Degree-based experience guidance provided; equivalent industry experience implied within the stated ranges.
