Working Student — Software Quality Assurance (m/f/d)
Role Summary
Part-time working student role within the DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) in Munich to support software quality for web-based engineering tools. The role focuses on validating features, finding and documenting defects, and helping establish automated test coverage for tools used in semiconductor test engineering workflows.
Experience Level
Entry-level (working student). Intended for current university students; no specific years of professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Work with the development team to test and improve the quality and reliability of internal web applications.
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing for new and existing web features.
- Develop and maintain automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels using modern test frameworks.
- Document defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Contribute to acceptance criteria and test plans for upcoming releases.
- Support CI pipeline health and release readiness activities.
- Participate in code reviews and team quality discussions, promoting structured testing practices.

Must-have
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for writing and maintaining test scripts.
- Hands-on experience with Git and standard software development workflows.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail; able to identify edge cases and reproduce defects reliably.
- Good written and spoken English for cross-functional collaboration.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with test frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, Vitest, or Selenium.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and database structures for backend validation.
- Exposure to CI/CD environments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience applying AI tools to increase productivity.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in a university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (working-student / student status required).
