Silicon Partnerships Manager

Role Summary

Manage Meta's technical and commercial relationships with external silicon and semiconductor partners (custom ASIC, SoC, SiP) to ensure roadmap alignment, partner readiness, and on-time delivery for AR/VR, consumer hardware, and data center platforms.

This role interfaces between internal silicon engineering teams and external suppliers, coordinating schedules, risk mitigation, cross-functional supply management, and executive reporting.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 6+ years of program management or engineering program/partnership management experience in the semiconductor or consumer electronics industry.

Responsibilities

Lead partner-facing program management across chip development phases and ensure delivery against product launch commitments.

• Serve as primary program interface between internal silicon engineering teams and external semiconductor partners.
• Define and manage joint program schedules from architecture through tape-out, bring-up, qualification, and mass production readiness.
• Identify, assess, and communicate program risks (schedule slips, process readiness, supply constraints).
• Drive partner readiness reviews and prepare executive-level status communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional supply management with MPMs and operations to support launches.
• Develop engagement models, escalation paths, and governance for multiple partner relationships.
• Track partner performance metrics (schedule adherence, quality, milestone completion) and drive continuous improvement.
• Support negotiation of technical scopes of work and partnership agreements with sourcing and legal teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical and program management experience related to silicon/semiconductor partners.

• 6+ years of program management, technical partnership management, or engineering program management within the semiconductor or consumer electronics industry.
• Direct experience managing external silicon or semiconductor supplier relationships across multiple phases of chip development and mass production.
• Proven use of data-driven approaches to track program health, identify execution gaps, and drive cross-functional resolutions.

Nice-to-have

• Experience aligning internal roadmaps with external partner capabilities to meet product launches.
• Experience managing partnerships across geographically distributed teams and international suppliers.
• Familiarity with supply management systems and negotiating technical scopes with legal/sourcing partners.
• Ongoing AI skill development (prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and experience integrating AI tools to optimize workflows.
• Experience with responsible, ethical AI practices (risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality reviews).
