Working Student/Intern (f/m/d) Technical Product Validation of Transceivers

Role Summary

Join the Systems and Applications team within the In-Vehicle Networking product line to support technical product validation of transceivers. The role focuses on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, maintaining and extending test software and setups, occasional PCB development and simulation, and producing English test reports. Position is based in Hamburg.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” working student or intern. Suitable for current university students; no minimum years of industry experience required. Working time: ~18 hrs/week as a working student, 35 hrs/week as an intern (internships must be mandatory by your university).

Responsibilities

Primary hands-on validation and test support tasks in the EMC lab.

  • Validate transceivers for electromagnetic compatibility in the EMC laboratory.
  • Maintain and extend test software and automated test setups used in the EMC lab.
  • Design and build PCBs for test setups when required.
  • Perform EMC simulations of test PCBs as needed.
  • Create and maintain work documentation and English-language test reports.
  • Support security-related tasks and follow procedures required for security certifications.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to integrate test results into product validation.

Requirements

  • Basic experience operating laboratory devices (oscilloscopes, signal generators).
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Team player with an independent, goal-oriented work style and quick comprehension.

Nice-to-have:

  • Advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators).
  • Programming experience in C or C++.
  • Basic PCB design experience.

Education Requirements

Ongoing university studies in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field. Mandatory internships must be part of the candidate's university program where applicable. No additional certifications specified.
