Job Title
Wireless SoC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement microarchitecture and RTL for wireless System-on-Chip (SoC) IP. Work on energy-efficient SoC features and collaborate across RF/analog, systems/PHY/MAC, verification, physical design, DFT, CAD, emulation, and firmware/software teams to deliver silicon from concept through bring-up.
Experience Level
Senior β experienced engineer. The posting specifies 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Contribute to SoC IP definition, RTL implementation, and cross-functional integration.
- Define ASIC microarchitecture to meet functional, performance, power, and area targets.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/Verilog RTL aligned to requirements.
- Participate in hardware/software partitioning with firmware and software teams.
- Support verification, validation, emulation, and silicon bring-up activities.
- Collaborate with physical design, DFT, and CAD teams to optimize PPA and ensure design quality and maintainability.
- Perform lint, CDC/RDC reviews, synthesis handoff, and static timing analysis (STA) coordination.
Requirements
Technical must-haves and relevant experience expected for successful performance.
- Proven ability to define ASIC microarchitecture and make PPA trade-offs.
- Strong SystemVerilog and Verilog RTL design and implementation skills.
- Solid knowledge of the ASIC design flow: lint, CDC/RDC analysis, synthesis, and STA.
- Experience with SoC verification practices, DFT, and integration with verification/emulation teams.
- Experience collaborating across RF/analog, physical design, CAD, and firmware/software groups.
- Ability to support design through concept, validation, and silicon bring-up, including debugging across domains.
- Nice-to-have: prior wireless SoC or RF/analog integration experience and familiarity with emulation platforms.
Education Requirements
The posting specifies a Bachelor's degree (BS) and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
