Wireless RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver RTL for signal-processing intensive blocks in wireless system-on-chips. Work within Apple’s wireless silicon team alongside RF/Analog, systems, verification, test, and firmware engineers to develop energy-efficient wireless IP and integrate it into production SoCs.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architect, code, and review RTL (SystemVerilog/Verilog) for PHY/DSP blocks used in wireless communication SoCs.
- Implement and optimize designs for power, area, and timing to meet SoC constraints.
- Collaborate with system/PHY architects, RF/analog teams, verification engineers, and firmware teams to integrate RTL into the SoC.
- Support design-for-test, synthesis, timing closure, and low-power implementation flows.
- Participate in design reviews, debug silicon bring-up issues, and support post-silicon validation as needed.
- Develop and use scripts and automation to accelerate design and verification tasks.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proven RTL design skills using SystemVerilog/Verilog.
- Experience with digital signal processing blocks and PHY implementation for wireless communications.
- Familiarity with SoC integration, synthesis, timing closure, and low-power design techniques.
- Practical experience working with verification teams and participating in bring-up/debug.
- Proficiency with scripting or automation tools (for example Python, Tcl).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with wireless protocols (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, cellular) or related RF interfaces.
- Background in mixed-signal or RF/analog interaction with digital front-end blocks.
Education Requirements
Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
