Job Title
Wireless MAC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement the MAC layer for wireless communication SoCs. Work on microarchitecture, area- and power-efficient synthesizable RTL, and system integration to meet performance and power targets.
Collaborate with systems, software, verification, emulation, and synthesis teams to deliver production-quality silicon.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical experience: 3β7 years in digital RTL design or related roles.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop MAC layer microarchitecture and design documents from system-level requirements.
- Write area- and power-efficient synthesizable Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL that is scalable and maintainable.
- Integrate with systems and software teams to ensure performance and power objectives are met.
- Collaborate with verification and emulation teams on debugging, test plan reviews, and code-coverage closure.
- Run and act on design-quality tools to ensure lint and CDC/RDC cleanliness.
- Work with synthesis and STA teams to review constraints, close timing, and analyze area/timing results.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of digital logic design fundamentals.
- Proven ability to translate functional requirements into synthesizable Verilog or SystemVerilog RTL.
- Familiarity with digital design flows: RTL simulation and debug, synthesis, lint, static timing analysis (STA), and LEC.
- Strong organization, written, and oral communication skills.
Education Requirements
