Job Title

Wireless Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Perform pre-silicon RTL verification for the wireless MAC and its interfaces within Apple's wireless SoC organization. Deliver reusable testbenches and verification environments that use metric-driven methodologies to ensure design quality.

Work closely with verification methodologists, RTL designers, and communications systems engineers across RF/Analog, PHY/MAC, VLSI, emulation, test and validation, and firmware/software teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities for this role include:

  • Plan and execute pre-silicon RTL verification for wireless MAC and its SoC interfaces.
  • Design, implement, and maintain reusable testbenches and verification environments.
  • Apply metric-driven verification and current DV methodologies to meet coverage and quality goals.
  • Collaborate with DV methodologists, RTL designers, and communications/systems engineers to define verification strategy and requirements.
  • Debug RTL and verification failures; iterate with designers to close issues.
  • Integrate verification flows with emulation, simulation, and validation infrastructure as needed.
  • Contribute to verification process improvements and documentation.

Requirements

Key required skills and experience (must-haves listed first):

  • Proven experience in RTL verification of wireless MAC blocks and their interfaces within an SoC context.
  • Track record of developing reusable testbenches and verification environments that scale across projects.
  • Practical experience applying metric-driven verification and modern DV methodologies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with DV methodologists, designers, and communications/systems engineers.
  • Strong debugging skills for RTL and verification infrastructure issues.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with emulation, system-level test and validation, or firmware/software integration.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BS) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
