Wireless Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design RTL for wireless MAC IP and its interfaces within a wireless SoC. Work in a cross-functional silicon team focused on energy-efficient wireless design, integration, verification, and delivery to high-volume products.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
The role centers on RTL design, integration, and collaboration to deliver production-quality wireless MAC IP.
- Design and implement RTL for wireless MAC and its interfaces to the SoC.
- Define and implement interfaces with software, system, and verification teams.
- Optimize IP for power, area, and performance trade-offs for low-power applications.
- Integrate MAC with bus fabrics and memory subsystems and support system debug and bring-up.
- Participate in design and code reviews, verification handoff, and silicon bring-up activities.
- Drive productionization of designs for high-volume manufacturing.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and proven experience.
- Proven track record of high-performance designs in high-volume production for low-power applications.
- Strong background in computer architecture, including bus fabrics (APB/AHB/AXI), memory systems, system debug architecture, and power-management domains.
- Experience with encryption/decryption engines, integer and floating-point numeric units, and high-speed datapath and control units.
- Experience in ASIC front-end flows: Lint, CDC, STA, LEC.
- Hands-on RTL design experience (SystemVerilog/Verilog) and ability to collaborate across hardware and software teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge or experience with MAC layer of wired/wireless communication systems.
- Familiarity with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or Zigbee.
- Experience specifically in low-power wireless SoC development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BS) required. The posting specifies a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
