Job Title

RTL Design Engineer — Remote (W2; no C2C)

Role Summary

Fully remote 12-month contract to own micro-architecture and RTL implementation for complex custom-silicon digital blocks. The role requires end-to-end ownership of block design, IP integration, and sign-off activities while collaborating with verification and integration teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level individual contributor. No explicit years listed, but requires current, hands-on expertise and the ability to operate independently from day one.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Define micro-architecture from high-level functional specifications.
• Develop and implement RTL for complex digital blocks using SystemVerilog/Verilog.
• Drive digital block control logic and integrate IP at the block level.
• Participate in subsystem-level architecture alignment and integration discussions.
• Support design sign-off activities including CDC, RDC, lint, and synthesis readiness checks.
• Collaborate closely with Design Verification teams for closure and debug.
• Take full project lifecycle ownership with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Strong, current RTL design expertise in SystemVerilog and/or Verilog.
• Proven ability to independently define micro-architecture from functional specifications.
• Recent hands-on experience designing custom RTL blocks such as controllers, DMAs, or SoC bus bridges.
• Solid, practical understanding of memory controllers (HBM, DDR4, DDR5).
• Experience with SoC integration and digital subsystem design.
• Proficiency with IP integration and block-level ownership.
• Working knowledge of sign-off flows including CDC and RDC; familiarity with lint and synthesis readiness checks.
• Experience designing IPs with multiple clock domains.
• Ability to operate independently with no ramp-up time required.

Nice-to-have:

• Subsystem-level RTL development experience.
• Exposure to Die-to-Die (D2D) logic design.
• Prior experience working directly with major hyperscaler silicon teams.
