Collaborate with architecture, RTL, verification and software teams to enable tapeouts and meet PPA (performance, power, area) targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level β approximately 3+ years of relevant VLSI physical design experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities across physical design and flow development.
- Perform synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure (STA), and PPA optimization.
- Develop and maintain backend (BE) flows, automation scripts, and rtl-to-gds flows.
- Integrate and run CAD tool flows and signoff verification.
- Work with RTL, architecture and verification teams to meet tapeout schedules and resolve design issues.
- Support advanced-node and low-power design practices to meet performance and power targets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 3+ years as a VLSI physical design engineer.
- Experience with advanced process nodes.
- Deep understanding of physical design: synthesis, implementation, STA and PPA optimization methods.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools and rtl2gds and signoff verification flows.
- Experience developing automation scripts and improving backend flows.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with low-power design techniques.
