VLSI & Microelectronics Internship

Role Summary

Internship position on the VLSI and microelectronics team to support verification, testing, and development of high-performance electronic systems and silicon. Work with internal software teams and semiconductor customers on EDA-tool-driven SoC and 3DIC design flows at advanced nodes.

Program details: 11-month full-time internship, 100% onsite in India (Bangalore, Noida, Hyderabad). Start window: May–July 2026.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for current graduate students (M.Tech) or recent M.Tech graduates; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities during the internship will include:

• Collaborate with VLSI application engineers on EDA-tool workflows for SoC and 3DIC design and sign-off at 5/3/2 nm nodes.
• Work with semiconductor customers and internal software development teams from ideation through release and deployment.
• Assist in verification, testing, and debugging of silicon chips and circuits.
• Contribute to development and optimization of high-performance electronic systems.
• Perform technical problem-solving and propose practical solutions to engineering challenges.
• Document experimental results, present findings, and participate in team meetings.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes for candidates:

• Strong foundational knowledge of electronics, microelectronics, and VLSI concepts.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience (for automation, validation, or tooling tasks).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and eagerness to learn new tools and methodologies.
• Available to work full-time onsite at one of the listed India locations.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Currently pursuing or recently completed an M.Tech (Master's) in VLSI, Electronics, Microelectronics, or a related technical field. Consideration given to recent M.Tech graduates from services companies seeking to transition into the semiconductor domain. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
