Role Overview
The Networking Technology and Solution IP Group at AMD is enhancing its Data Centre design team in Belfast, focusing on the design and verification of ASIC blocks for next-generation data centre networking aimed at supporting AI clusters. This role covers the complete design cycle including architecture, algorithm design, block specification, RTL design, and testing.
Role Summary
As a Graduate Silicon Design Engineer, you will be an integral member of the design team. You will participate in real silicon design projects, working collaboratively with global teams and learning industry-standard EDA tools while contributing to the development of AMD's high-end products.
Experience Level
This position is suitable for final-year students or recent graduates holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Requirements
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experiences:
- Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Experience in designing digital hardware systems and hardware architecture development is preferred.
- Familiarity with ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools.
- Knowledge of UVM or Formal Verification is advantageous.
- Scripting experience in C/C++, Python, Perl, or TCL.
- Interest or experience in leveraging AI tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative team player with effective communication skills.
