Verification Engineer, Performance
Role Summary
Responsible for performance verification and analysis of NVIDIA CPUs and CPU fabrics. Develop test plans, simulation and silicon validation, and performance tooling to ensure system-level performance alignment.
Work with architecture, silicon validation and software teams to define and evaluate next-generation CPU products.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically 3+ years of relevant experience in CPU/SoC performance verification and analysis.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop test plans, verification strategies, and simulation environments for CPU and fabric performance.
- Develop and maintain CPU simulator infrastructure and hardware performance test infrastructure.
- Bring up systems, run silicon validation, and automate performance testing and reporting.
- Analyze CPU and fabric performance data to identify issues and guide product development.
- Define and implement toolchains and workflows for system performance alignment.
- Perform silicon-based competitive analysis of CPUs.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and experience:
- 3+ years of experience in CPU/SoC performance verification and analysis.
- Strong understanding of computer system architecture and operating system fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with HDLs (Verilog, SystemVerilog) and verification methodologies/tools for IP and SoC verification.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog, C/C++, and Python.
- Experience with silicon debug and performance validation on hardware.
Nice-to-have
- Detailed knowledge of ARM and/or x86 architectures.
- Prior experience with CPU performance analysis and workload characterization.
Education Requirements
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
