Job Title

Verification Engineer - PCIE

Role Summary

Verify PCI Express controller IP and subsystem designs for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs, ensuring correctness of ASIC architecture, micro-architecture and implementation using coverage-driven verification methodologies.

Work within the NVIDIA Graphics verification team in Bengaluru, collaborating with architects, RTL designers, and pre- and post-silicon teams to drive verification and debug.

Experience Level

Entry-level; requires approximately 2+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Plan and execute IP/subsystem-level verification for PCIe controllers, covering architecture, golden models and micro-architecture.
  • Develop test plans, constrained-random tests, and the verification infrastructure.
  • Implement reusable bus functional models (BFMs), monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven methodology.
  • Use DV methodologies (UVM/VMM) and industry-standard simulation and debug tools to identify and diagnose issues.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon verification teams to close verification cycles.

Requirements

Core qualifications (must-have and nice-to-have):

Must-have:

  • Verification experience at unit/subsystem/SOC level using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with functional coverage–based constrained-random verification.
  • Experience with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and industry-standard simulation/debug tools.
  • Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (e.g., PCI Express, USB, SATA).
  • Ability to build reusable verification components (BFMs, monitors, scoreboards) and drive coverage closure.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with PCIe protocol Gen3 and above.
  • Strong testbench development skills in SystemVerilog.
  • Scripting experience in Python, Perl, or similar for automation and debug.
  • Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements
