Verification Engineer, PCIe
NVIDIAJob Title
Verification Engineer, PCIe
Role Summary
Work on verification of PCIe controller IP and subsystems for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. The role focuses on defining verification scope, building verification infrastructure, and ensuring correctness of design implementations.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams to develop tests, models, and coverage-driven verification environments.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early Career β 1+ years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning and executing verification activities for PCIe IP/subsystems.
- Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels using modern methodologies (e.g., UVM).
- Design and implement reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards.
- Define verification scope, develop test plans and tests, and build verification infrastructure.
- Execute coverage-driven verification and analyze results to close functional and coverage gaps.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and silicon teams for issue resolution and design sign-off.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Minimum 1+ years of relevant verification experience.
- Experience in verification at Unit/Sub-system/SoC level.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (for example PCI Express, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing and working in functional-coverage based constrained-random verification environments.
- Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and industry-standard simulation/debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Strong knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above) and system-level PCIe/CXL architecture.
- Scripting or software experience (Perl, Python or similar).
