Verification Engineer - PCIE

Role Summary

Verify the design and implementation of PCI Express controllers for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs at IP and subsystem levels. Work on testplans, verification infrastructure, and coverage-driven verification to ensure correctness of micro-architecture and implementation.

Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre-/post-silicon teams to define verification scope and deliver reusable verification components.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career — typically 2+ years of relevant ASIC/IP verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification for PCIe controller IP and subsystems.

• Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP/sub-system levels.
• Develop test plans, directed and constrained-random tests, and the verification infrastructure.
• Build reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven methodology.
• Define verification scope by studying design specifications and implementations; verify correctness against requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon verification teams to resolve issues and close coverage.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Experience in verification at Unit/Sub-system/SoC level using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Experience developing and working in functional-coverage-based constrained-random verification environments.
• Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM/VMM and industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
• Background verifying IP or interconnect protocols (PCI Express, USB, SATA).
• Good debugging, analytical, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Deep knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above).
• Strong testbench development skills in SystemVerilog.
• Scripting or software experience (Perl, Python or similar).

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech. required. The posting specifies 2+ years of relevant experience.
