Verification Engineer, PCIe
Role Summary
Verify design and implementation of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels for GPU and SoC products. Work on functional verification, develop infrastructure and tests, and collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams to ensure design correctness.
Experience Level
Entry-level β 1+ years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and building reusable verification components.
- Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP/sub-system level using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., UVM).
- Develop reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification.
- Define verification scope, develop test plans and tests, and build verification infrastructure.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification engineers to debug and close verification gaps.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items are indicated.
- Experience in verification at unit, sub-system, or SoC level.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (examples: PCIe, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing and using functional-coverage-based constrained-random verification environments.
- Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and exposure to industry-standard simulation and debug tools.

Nice to have: Deep knowledge of PCIe (Gen3+), system-level PCIe/CXL architecture, scripting (Perl/Python), strong debugging and analytical skills, and good interpersonal/teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
