Job Title
Verification Engineer, PCIe
Role Summary
Verify the design and implementation of PCIe controllers for GPUs and SoCs at IP and sub-system levels. Work on functional verification, develop reusable verification components, and validate correctness against specifications.
Member of a cross-functional verification team collaborating with architects, designers, and pre-/post-silicon teams to deliver reliable IP and subsystem implementations.
Experience Level
Entry-level (1+ years relevant experience)
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute verification of ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels.
- Develop reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification methodology.
- Define verification scope, develop test plans and tests, and build verification infrastructure.
- Create and maintain functional coverage models and constrained-random verification environments.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre-/post-silicon teams to resolve issues and close verification gaps.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 1+ years of relevant verification experience at Unit/Sub-system/SoC level.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (examples: PCIe, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing functional coverage based, constrained-random verification environments.
- Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and industry-standard simulation/debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Strong knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above) and system-level PCIe/CXL architecture.
- Scripting or software experience (Perl, Python or similar) for automation and testbench tooling.
- Good debugging, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
B.Tech. or M.Tech. (or equivalent practical experience). The posting lists a B.Tech./M.Tech. degree or equivalent experience; specific fields of study are not specified.
