Senior Applications Engineer (C++ / Verilog)

Role Summary

Responsible for verifying and deploying emulation models for Zebu and supporting SoC bring-up and pre-silicon software development. Works within the Emulation Transactor Verification Team as an individual contributor or technical lead, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver and validate emulation solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 2–4 years of hands-on experience in emulation/simulation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Verify and deploy emulation models for Zebu, focusing on bus protocols such as PCIe, USB, CSI, and DSI.
• Implement components in C++, RTL, and SystemVerilog DPI.
• Create and optimize use models and applications for emulation projects.
• Collaborate with SoC, software, and cross-functional teams to enable pre-silicon bring-up and software development.
• Perform verification, validation, and debugging to ensure model correctness and robustness.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.

Requirements

Technical must-have and desirable skills:

• Must-have: Strong C++ programming and object-oriented design; proficiency in HDL (SystemVerilog, Verilog); familiarity with digital design concepts and verification methodologies; practical emulation/simulation experience.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Zebu or other hardware emulation tools; scripting (Perl, TCL); experience with simulators (e.g., VCS) and debugging tools (e.g., Verdi); familiarity with protocols such as ENET, HDMI, MIPI, AMBA, UART; FPGA synthesis/place-and-route experience.

Education Requirements

B.Tech or M.Tech in EEE, ECE, ETE, or VLSI engineering is specified in the posting.
