Verification Engineer, PCIe
NVIDIAJob Title
Verification Engineer, PCIe
Role Summary
Verify PCIe controller IP and subsystem implementations for next-generation GPUs and SoCs. Work on post- and pre-silicon verification to ensure correctness of design, architecture, and golden models.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early Career - 2+ years of relevant verification experience (as stated in the posting).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities at the IP and subsystem level and collaborating with design and silicon teams.
- Define verification scope and develop verification plans and tests for PCIe controllers.
- Build reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards.
- Implement coverage-driven verification environments and run constrained-random tests.
- Verify design correctness against specifications and golden models.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre-/post-silicon verification teams for debug and closure.
Requirements
Key technical and practical requirements. Education items are listed in the Education Requirements section below.
Must-have
- 2+ years of relevant verification experience.
- Experience in verification at unit/subsystem/SoC level.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with functional coverage-based constrained-random verification.
- Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and standard simulation/debug tools.
- Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (PCIe, USB, SATA, or similar).
Nice-to-have
- Deep knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above) and system-level PCIe/CXL architecture.
- Scripting or software skills (Perl, Python, or similar) for testbench and tool automation.
