Senior Verification Engineer – High Speed Coherent Interconnect Hub
Role Summary
Join the Tegra SoC IP Verification team to verify High Speed Coherent Interconnect Hub IP used in multi-chip, high-performance computing platforms. Work with architecture and design teams to define verification strategies, develop verification environments, and drive functional and performance signoff.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requests 3+ years of ASIC verification experience; the role expects demonstrated experience verifying complex IPs or SoC subsystems.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building verification infrastructure, validating protocol and performance requirements, and driving closure to signoff.
- Develop and maintain verification infrastructure: testbenches, BFMs, checkers, monitors, scoreboards, assertions, and constrained-random stimulus.
- Define, review, and execute verification test plans for coherency protocol, ordering, error handling, and performance.
- Verify protocol compliance and interoperability across SoC and multi-chip interfaces.
- Plan and run performance verification to validate bandwidth, latency, QoS, and other metrics.
- Drive functional and code coverage closure toward verification signoff.
- Debug complex RTL and verification issues and coordinate resolutions with architecture and design teams.
- Collaborate with FPGA, emulation, software, and post-silicon teams to support system validation and silicon bring-up.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- 3+ years of ASIC verification experience with complex IPs or SoC subsystems.
- Strong experience in SystemVerilog, UVM, constrained-random verification, and coverage-driven methodologies.
- Experience developing verification environments, checkers, assertions, and functional coverage.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience verifying high-speed coherent interconnects, NoCs, or other complex SoC infrastructure IP.
- Knowledge of coherent interconnect protocols such as CHI and AXI.
- Understanding of cache coherency, transaction ordering, and system-level data flows.
- Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell; strong communication and collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree (BS/MS) or equivalent practical experience was specified.
