Job Title

Verification Engineer - New College Grad (2026)

Role Summary

Entry-level verification engineer responsible for verifying memory subsystems and coherent high-speed interconnect designs for mobile SoCs and GPUs. The role sits on a verification team collaborating with architects, designers, emulation, and silicon verification teams to ensure design correctness.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to verification infrastructure and test plans that impact consumer graphics, autonomous systems, and AI products.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate. Suitable for candidates completing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree; some prior internship or project experience in design or verification is expected.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on planning and executing verification activities for memory and interconnect designs.

  • Define verification scope for memory subsystem or coherent interconnect designs, including architecture and micro-architecture.
  • Develop and maintain verification infrastructure: testbenches, bus functional models (BFMs), checkers, and monitors.
  • Create and execute test and coverage plans using random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertions.
  • Verify golden models and implementation correctness through simulation and debug cycles.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, emulation, and silicon teams to resolve issues and close coverage.

Requirements

Practical verification and programming skills required. Education details are listed under Education Requirements below.

  • Must-have:
    • Experience architecting testbench environments for unit-level verification.
    • Familiarity with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification methodologies.
    • Experience with SystemVerilog and C++ programming; scripting ability for automation.
    • Exposure to simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent simulators, Debussy, GDB).
    • Prior design or verification exposure to dynamic memory controllers or coherent high-speed interconnects.
    • Strong debugging, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Nice-to-have:
    • Experience with emulation or silicon bring-up and cross-team verification flows.

Education Requirements

Completing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
