Verification Engineer, Memory Subsystem

Role Summary

Verify ASIC design, architecture and micro-architecture for GPU memory subsystem IP and related sub-systems. Work on functional, performance and deadlock verification using coverage-driven methodologies and collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level — typical hire with 2+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary verification duties for complex IPs and memory subsystem units:

• Define verification scope and develop verification plans and test strategies.
• Design and implement verification infrastructure, testbenches, BFM/monitors/checkers and scoreboards.
• Create and run directed and random tests; close functional coverage.
• Perform performance and deadlock verification of the GPU memory subsystem.
• Use assertion-based verification and integrate coverage metrics into closure activities.
• Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre-/post-silicon teams to debug and resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by desirable qualifications.

• Experience verifying complex IPs, units or sub-systems (functional verification experience).
• Verification methodologies: experience with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertions.
• Strong RTL familiarity — expertise in Verilog; working knowledge of SystemVerilog or similar HVL.
• Familiarity with industry verification methodologies (UVM, VMM) and standard simulation/debug tools.
• Good debugging and analytical skills.
• Nice-to-have: experience in memory subsystem or network interconnect verification, scripting (Python/Perl/shell), and strong communication/teamwork skills.

Education Requirements
