Verification Engineer Intern
Role Summary
Internship on the SoC verification team working on Ambarella's vision processors. The role contributes to verification of RTL blocks, testbench infrastructure, and verification tooling for camera and computer-vision SoCs.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain test benches and write or debug verification tests and RTL logic.
- Implement random test generators to produce intelligent stimulus for verification.
- Write coverage monitors, checkers, and assertions; collect and analyze coverage and verification statistics.
- Create scripts and tools to generate stimulus, run simulations, and analyze performance and results.
- Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and present internship results internally at program end.
Requirements

- Must-have: Exposure to hardware verification and scripting/programming (examples: Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, C, C++, Perl, Python, or assembly).
- Must-have: Basic familiarity with RTL-level concepts, testbench structure, and simulation workflows.
- Must-have: Ability to learn new tools and languages quickly, work independently on assigned tasks, and communicate results.
- Nice-to-have: Experience writing coverage monitors, checkers, assertions, or random test generators.
- Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to performance measurement or analysis of simulation results.
Education Requirements
Students near completion of a master's degree (Master's) in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. (The posting specifies interns are typically students near completion of a master's degree.)
