Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and verify digital logic and system-level IP for TI products. Work on CPU and accelerator components such as 64-bit DSP processors, MMU, heterogeneous multicore shared memory and cache systems, and system prototypes to meet performance, power, cost and schedule targets.
First-year hires participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) providing technical training and on-the-job learning to accelerate early career development.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career β role is targeted at recent graduates and early-career engineers (new hires participating in TI's CAP). Years of experience: typically 0β2 years.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture analysis, IP design, validation and documentation. Typical duties:
- Define, design, model and verify digital circuits and IP to meet functional and electrical requirements.
- Analyze chip-architecture trade-offs for performance, power, area and cost.
- Participate in design reviews and produce required design and product documentation.
- Implement and validate system use-cases and build prototypes to demonstrate solutions.
- Design optimal layouts to achieve performance, power and area targets.
- Characterize and qualify devices to ensure adherence to specifications and reliability targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to define design specifications.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field is required. Minimum cumulative GPA: 6.0/10.0. (No mention of equivalent-experience alternatives.)
