Role Summary

Senior engineering role on the Korea Synopsys Verification SW R&D team focused on designing and delivering AI-powered solutions that improve semiconductor verification productivity and automation.

The role partners with Product Engineering, R&D, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI, automation, and verification tools into scalable workflows and developer experiences.

Experience Level

Senior-level - requires 10+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include delivering AI-assisted verification solutions and enabling automation across verification workflows.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven tools and automation to improve engineering productivity in verification workflows.
• Integrate AI technologies with verification and engineering tools to enable intelligent workflows and enhanced user experiences.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, and global teams to identify problems and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies (LLMs, agents, RAG, MCP) and workflow orchestration frameworks to real engineering challenges.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of AI-driven verification solutions.
• Measure and improve verification efficiency, coverage closure, debug, and regression processes through automation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.

• Deep practical experience with semiconductor verification methodologies, flows, and tools (simulation, coverage closure, debug, regression).
• Hands-on experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification environments.
• Proficient in software development and automation scripting (Python or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills for complex verification issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across global, cross-functional teams.
• Nice-to-have: experience with static or formal verification and verification automation frameworks.
• Nice-to-have: practical experience applying AI/ML, LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG, MCP, or workflow automation to engineering problems.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. The posting specifies 10+ years of relevant industry experience; an MS or PhD is preferred.
