Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify Tenstorrent's digital IP and SoC logic at the chiplet and system-in-package level. Work with global teams and external partners to ensure functionality and performance, and drive verification activities toward tape-out. Role is based in Tokyo with a flexible hybrid work style.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires over 10 years of verification experience. Candidates at other levels may be considered and will be assessed during interview.
Responsibilities
Deliver verification coverage, infrastructure, and results for chiplet integration and SoC subsystems:
- Verify digital IP and SoC logic at the chiplet integration level using industry-standard verification methodologies.
- Develop and maintain verification infrastructure: model builds, simulation, and regression flows.
- Create testbenches, checkers, test generators, assertions, and coverage metrics.
- Build verification test plans, implement test suites, summarize results, and provide feedback to stakeholders.
- Publish and review verification metrics and drive convergence toward tape-out.
- Collaborate with architects, software, design, and emulation teams, including external partners.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- Proven CPU or SoC verification experience, including verification flows, scripting and automation (10+ years).
- Good knowledge of logic design.
- Knowledge of Verilog / v2k / SystemVerilog and assertion/coverage methodologies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills for simulation and regression frameworks.
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills; proficient in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with RISC-V, machine learning accelerators, die-to-die integration, memory controllers, PCIe, UCIe.
- Familiarity with low-level drivers and firmware in C.
- Fluency in Japanese and/or a valid Japanese work visa.
Education Requirements
Advanced degree preferred β Masterβs or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
