Role Summary

Join Broadcom's Custom Silicon Division to verify IP and subsystems for ASIC products, including custom AI chip designs. The role focuses on IP and subsystem verification across SerDes, processor subsystems, and other on-chip IP blocks.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification for IP blocks and subsystems and driving closure of verification goals.

• Architect and implement modern verification environments and reusable UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches.
• Define block- and subsystem-level test plans and verification strategies.
• Develop functional coverage models and drive coverage convergence.
• Perform CDC checks, formal verification, gate-level debug, and use emulation tools for validation.
• Debug complex design and integration issues under schedule pressure.
• Work on SerDes bring-up and verification; validate SerDes architecture and protocols.
• Verify processor microarchitectures and bus/protocol integrations.
• Collaborate with design, bring-up, and system teams to reproduce and resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• Hands-on expertise with UVM, SystemVerilog, and RTL verification methodologies and tools.
• Proven ability to architect verification environments and create reusable testbenches.
• Experience with functional coverage, CDC analysis, formal verification, gate-level debug, and emulation.
• Familiarity with SerDes systems, protocols, and bring-up processes.
• Knowledge of processor microarchitectures and common bus protocols.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills; effective team collaborator.
• Nice-to-have: experience creating and managing automated verification infrastructures.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 12+ years of proven SoC/ASIC verification experience; OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 10+ years of proven SoC/ASIC verification experience.
