Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Design and execute verification plans for ASIC IP blocks and subsystems. Build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, create Python behavioral models, analyze simulation results, and collaborate with design, architecture, and verification teams to ensure RTL quality and delivery.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include block- and system-level verification, debugging, and automation.
- Develop and execute verification plans for IP blocks at block and system levels.
- Build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments and testbenches.
- Develop Python-based behavioral models and validate designs against RTL.
- Analyze simulation results, debug failures, and drive root-cause resolution.
- Create and maintain automation scripts and regression frameworks.
- Collaborate with design, architecture, and verification teams to improve quality and verification flows.
- Contribute to verification methodology and flow improvements.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to increase productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 8+ years of industry experience in design verification.
- Strong RTL verification expertise with SystemVerilog.
- Experience with ASIC verification flows and design verification methodologies.
- Proficiency in UVM/OVM, Python, and C/C++; comfortable with scripting.
- Experience with block-level and system-level verification and debug.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Firmware development or embedded C experience.
- Knowledge of PHY layers, adaptation techniques, or formal verification methods.
- Understanding of chip design flows, CPU/DDR/bus/network protocols, or DSP design.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BS/BE) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
