Job Title
Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Hardware Engineering verification team in Bengaluru to plan and execute verification for Arm-based IP, subsystems and SoCs. The role focuses on developing SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments, validating CPU/PCIe/Security/DDR/interconnects and performing SoC-level scenario and performance verification.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically 3–12 years of verification experience (posting references 2–4 years for some candidates and 3–12 years in requirements).
Responsibilities
Deliver verification strategies and environments across IP, subsystem and SoC levels and work with cross-functional teams to close coverage and resolve silicon issues.
- Develop and execute verification strategies and plans for IP, subsystem and SoC designs.
- Architect, develop and maintain reusable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments and components.
- Verify CPU, PCIe, security, DDR, cache-coherency and CHI-based interconnects; perform SoC scenario and performance verification.
- Create test methodologies, test cases and coverage-closure strategies (functional, code, toggle, assertion and formal coverage).
- Develop embedded tests in C/C++ and Arm assembly for software-driven verification.
- Perform power-aware verification using UPF and validate complex power architectures.
- Debug RTL, testbench and silicon-related issues and collaborate with architecture, design, modeling, performance, validation, FPGA and software teams.
- Automate verification flows and tooling using Python, Perl, Tcl and shell scripting.
Requirements
Must-haves are listed first; followed by common nice-to-haves.
- 3–12 years of experience in IP, subsystem or SoC verification.
- Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and modern verification methodologies.
- Hands-on experience developing SV/UVM verification environments.
- Practical understanding of SoC integration, memory hierarchy, coherency protocols, interconnects and interrupt architecture.
- Experience writing embedded software tests in C/C++ and Arm assembly.
- Experience with coverage closure (functional, code, toggle, assertion) and formal techniques.
- Experience with UPF and power-aware verification.
- Scripting/automation skills: Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell.
- Exposure to the full verification lifecycle: requirements analysis, planning, testbench and test development, coverage and documentation.
Nice-to-have: formal verification experience, FPGA validation, performance verification, deep CHI/interconnect expertise.
