Role Summary

The Digital Validation Engineer is responsible for validating digital circuitry across a platform against defined system compliance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). The role focuses on designing, automating, and executing measurements and producing clear, concise validation reports.

The engineer prepares instrumentation, test boards, and automated scripts so validation activities can begin immediately when silicon arrives, and collaborates with design and system teams to close validation gaps.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include automated validation, measurement reporting, and test-bench readiness.

• Define and implement validation tests and KPIs for digital circuitry according to the system compliance matrix.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and measurement scripts.
• Prepare and verify instrumentation, test boards, and bench setups prior to silicon arrival.
• Collect, analyze, and present measurement data in concise reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, and system teams to diagnose issues and drive resolution.
• Ensure repeatability and scalability of validation procedures across platforms.

Requirements

Must-have technical capabilities and desirable skills.

• Must-have: Experience with digital validation, automated test development, and bench instrumentation setup; ability to create clear measurement reports.
• Must-have: Scripting experience for test automation (e.g., Python) and familiarity with common lab equipment and data acquisition tools.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience with silicon bring-up, board bring-up, or platform-level validation methodologies.
• Nice-to-have: Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams in a semiconductor development environment.
