Validation/Characterization Engineer | INT TRX

Role Summary

Perform post-silicon validation and characterization of integrated transceiver devices. Work in a lab environment to define failure modes, verify device performance against datasheet and validation matrices, and improve test coverage and data collection efficiency.

Role involves hands-on hardware and software tasks: PCB/test-fixture design, automation software development, measurement method implementation, and cross-functional troubleshooting.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” approximately 4 years of relevant validation or characterization experience (per minimum requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define validation use cases and identify failure modes that affect device performance or quality.
  • Design and build PCBs, test fixtures, and lab setups for post-silicon measurements.
  • Develop automation software and test scripts to increase test coverage and reduce data-collection time.
  • Design and implement measurement methods and procedures to quantify device performance.
  • Troubleshoot device, system, and equipment issues encountered during characterization.
  • Execute lab measurements, collect and analyze test data, and document results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to address design and test issues.
  • Deliver results on project schedules and support verification compliance activities.

Requirements

Core qualifications and desirable skills.

  • Must-have: ~4 years of practical experience in validation, characterization, or test engineering for semiconductor devices; hands-on PCB and lab-test experience; experience developing test automation or measurement software; strong troubleshooting skills with test equipment and fixtures.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong verbal and written communication, ability to establish relationships with stakeholders, quick ramp-up on new systems, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, team collaboration, initiative and time-management to meet project deadlines.
  • ECL/GTC compliance noted for this role.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree β€” BSEE or Computer Engineering (degree level indicated as Bachelor's Degree).
