Validation and Qualification Engineer
Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's Validation and Qualification team in Yokneam as a hands-on Hardware Practical Test Engineer. The team develops networking infrastructure for data centers with a focus on optical transceivers and end-to-end GPU connectivity. You will run validation and acceptance tests in a lab environment and work with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to resolve issues.
Experience Level
Entry-level — typically 2+ years of hands-on experience in hardware lab environments.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include executing validation tests, maintaining lab setups, and reporting results.
- Perform acceptance and validation tests for networking products, focusing on optical transceivers.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and test benches.
- Ramp up new workstations, configure test setups, and resolve setup issues.
- Perform board-level debugging and interpret schematics to isolate faults.
- Document test procedures and results; communicate findings clearly to electrical, mechanical, thermal, and systems engineers.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills for the role.
- Must-have: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a hardware lab environment.
- Must-have: Proven experience using lab equipment and performing board-level debugging.
- Must-have: Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.
- Must-have: Good technical English for reading datasheets and writing reports.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of electro-optical devices (lasers and detectors).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with test automation.
Education Requirements
Electrical Engineer degree or Practical Engineer certificate (graduated) preferred; equivalent practical experience accepted.
