Job Title

UX Staff Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Technical lead for UX audit and validation across MCU, MPU and power product lines. Collaborate with hardware design, software development, and system engineering teams to validate product deliverables against a Whole Product Framework.

Hybrid role: the employer operates a hybrid model with two remote days per week and in-office collaboration days (office days typically Tuesday–Thursday).

Experience Level

Senior — typically 5–7 years of experience in embedded hardware and system design and validation, especially involving microcontrollers and microprocessors.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute UX audit and validation activities for new products, coordinate findings with product teams, and improve deliverables.

  • Gather and translate mass-market UX requirements based on application designers' user journeys into the Whole Product Framework.
  • Plan and perform product audits/validations against framework requirements for MCU, MPU, and power products.
  • Report validation results to product groups, recommend deliverable enhancements, and drive follow-up activities.
  • Support creation and technical review of documentation such as datasheets, user manuals/guides, application notes, and EVK schematics.

Key technical and interpersonal requirements. Must-haves are listed first; preferred items follow.

  • Must-have: Strong understanding of MCU and MPU architectures (including ARM A/M series), peripherals, power/clock/reset, and low-power design.
  • Must-have: Ability to identify required software development environments and deliverables for mass-market designers.
  • Must-have: Ability to identify required hardware design environments and deliverables for mass-market designers.
  • Must-have: Experience setting up semiconductor evaluation systems and conducting hardware and software evaluations.
  • Must-have: Good knowledge of power management components (PMICs), MOSFETs, and discrete components.
  • Must-have: Experience performing competitive analysis of semiconductor vendors and design environments.
  • Must-have: Proven ability to work in diverse, international teams and manage multi-stakeholder collaborations.
  • Must-have: Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (spoken and written).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with competitors' hardware (STMicro, TI, NXP, etc.).
  • Nice-to-have: Strong passion for embedded systems.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field (university graduate or above) is required per the posting.
