UCIe Applications Engineering Architect
Role Summary
Provide technical leadership for customer deployments of UCIe interface IP, guiding integration into ASIC/SoC designs across front-end, back-end, silicon bring-up, and system validation.
Collaborate with Applications Engineering and R&D to develop integration methodologies, resolve complex deployment issues, and drive product improvements. Some travel is required.
Experience Level
Senior - typically requires at least 15 years of relevant design, verification, implementation, validation, or applications engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, customer consultation, and knowledge transfer.
- Lead technical reviews and provide integration guidance for UCIe IP across SoC and chiplet architectures.
- Advise on simulation, synthesis, floorplanning, STA, DFT, package integration, silicon bring-up, and system-level validation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and deployment issues with customer engineering teams.
- Collaborate with R&D to identify recurring customer challenges and recommend product enhancements.
- Develop and promote integration methodologies, application notes, and deployment best practices.
- Mentor and develop applications engineers across projects and technology areas.
- Participate in R&D design reviews and influence future product deployment success.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills; preferred items listed separately.
- Typically 15+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC design, verification, implementation, validation, or applications engineering.
- Deep expertise in ASIC front-end or back-end development and advanced SoC integration.
- Recognized expertise in UCIe, PCIe/CXL, or other high-speed interface integration, silicon validation, or post-silicon bring-up.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven verbal and written communication and ability to influence technical direction.
- Customer-facing experience and willingness to travel as required.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with advanced process nodes (10nm/7nm/5nm/3nm and beyond).
- Advanced silicon debug, hardware troubleshooting, and validation experience.
- Knowledge of EDA methodologies including P&R, physical verification, signal integrity, and power integrity.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
