TOP Design Verification Engineer Intern
Role Summary
Short-term internship on the SoC top-level verification team. The intern will develop and run verification tests for SOC TOP, update the testbench, debug failures, and report issues to designers.
This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hours/week) onsite role in San Jose with a start window around September–October 2026.
Experience Level
Entry-level (internship). Suitable for current students or recent graduates seeking a hands-on verification role.
Responsibilities
Primary tasks and day-to-day duties:
- Study SOC TOP microarchitecture and derive verification requirements.
- Modify and extend the SOC TOP testbench for top-level verification.
- Create and update test cases to validate SOC functionality.
- Run tests, debug failures, and file clear bug reports to designers.
- Execute verification to meet functional and toggle coverage targets.
- Work onsite with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and iterate tests.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Practical experience with digital IC design and verification methodologies.
- Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Programming/scripting experience in Python or Perl.
- Familiarity with C and Assembly coding.
- Comfort working in Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience using Perforce and Confluence (or similar tools).
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with UCIe, CPU architecture, NAND protocols, or AI productivity tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or a related field is required.
