Testchip Analog Product Development Engineer (HVM)
Role Summary
The engineer will drive testability and manufacturability for analog and RF integrated circuits from feasibility through high-volume manufacturing (HVM). The role focuses on developing, validating and debugging production test methods, collaborating with design, validation and manufacturing teams to improve performance, yield and reliability.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical requirement: 3+ years of experience in analog and/or RF product development, circuit characterization, and validation.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining and implementing production test solutions and resolving post-release issues.
- Develop and validate testability features for analog and RF ICs to meet design and industry requirements.
- Collaborate with design teams to implement design-for-test (DFT) and optimize production test strategies.
- Develop, debug and maintain software for automated test equipment (ATE) and validation flows.
- Perform correlation studies between ATE and design validation to root-cause functionality and performance issues.
- Characterize circuits for power and thermal performance and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Define and implement calibration and trimming techniques for power delivery and thermal sensing circuits.
- Monitor production data to optimize yield and resolve post-release concerns.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items are noted.
- 3+ years of experience in analog and/or RF product development, including circuit design, characterization, and validation.
- Proficiency developing and debugging software programs for automated test solutions and test equipment.
- Hands-on experience with digital signal processing, BERTs/scopes, and automated test equipment (ATE).
- Demonstrated ability to debug and analyze circuit functionality and performance issues; strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with calibration, trimming techniques, power/thermal characterization, and production yield optimization.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across design and manufacturing teams. (Preferred)
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (noted as preferred with 2+ years of professional experience).
