Role Summary

Entry-level test engineering role focused on DRAM probe testing, new-product startup, yield improvement, and product validation at Taichung Fab 16. The position works across test, design, process, and integration teams to improve DRAM quality and test efficiency.

Experience Level

Entry-level; junior position intended for recent graduates (fresh graduates).

Responsibilities

Accountable for DRAM probe testing, validation, and yield-improvement activities across the product lifecycle.

• Develop and improve DRAM probe test flows and test programs; review and sign off probe test releases.
• Design DRAM test algorithms and validation programs for features, modes, and commands.
• Leverage automation, scripting, and AI techniques to improve test efficiency and reduce cost.
• Support new DRAM product startup and yield ramp; perform circuit analysis and Verilog/CAD-based verification.
• Investigate yield loss: perform electrical and physical failure analysis and data-driven root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with wafer fab, process, device, product, and design teams to resolve process- and design-related issues.
• Develop probe and back-end test strategies for Managed/Custom DRAM products and support system-level validation.
• Parse and analyze large test datasets using statistical and data-analytics tools to drive improvements.

Requirements

Looking for candidates with engineering fundamentals, test-programming ability, and data-analysis skills. The role is suitable for recent graduates with relevant academic or project experience.

• Must have: basic understanding of semiconductor test concepts; ability to write scripts for test automation and data processing.
• Must have: familiarity with digital/analog circuit concepts and willingness to learn Verilog and CAD/verification tools.
• Must have: analytical skills for failure analysis and yield investigation; comfortable working with large datasets and statistical methods.
• Must have: collaborative communication skills to work with process, design, and test teams in a fab environment.
• Nice to have: prior exposure to DRAM architecture, probe testing, test program development, or experience with AI/ML applied to test-data analysis.
