Test Process Engineer
Role Summary
Develop, execute, and optimize semiconductor test processes to verify product functionality and quality. Support production testing, failure analysis, test data analysis, documentation, and process-improvement activities within the Manufacturing/Test team at the Kulim site.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career. Fresh graduates are encouraged; prior experience with semiconductor test systems is a plus. No specific years of experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Investigate yield and quality issues and implement corrective actions to reduce defects.
- Develop, optimize, and control test and manufacturing processes.
- Execute and improve test procedures and test systems to support production.
- Analyze test data and perform failure analysis to identify root causes.
- Document test processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support on-call duties when required.
Requirements
Essential skills and attributes:
- Basic electronics knowledge covering analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment and to work independently.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Willingness to support on-call duties if required.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) such as ETS364, 93K, ETS800 or Flex module testers.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics or related fields) is specified. Fresh graduates are encouraged. No certifications or explicit "equivalent experience" language provided.
