Test Module Engineer
Role Summary
Own and maintain high-volume semiconductor test modules and related equipment to support manufacturing ramps, process development, and technology transfers within Intel Foundry. Perform tests, measurements, maintenance, and process optimization to meet safety, quality, cost, productivity, and yield objectives.
Work on-site in Kulim as part of the manufacturing/Foundry Technology team and coordinate with equipment suppliers and remote sites for installation, qualification, and transfer activities.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership, measurement, maintenance, and improvement of test modules and associated processes.
- Own and operate high-volume manufacturing test equipment and modules; ensure safe, reliable production operation.
- Perform tests and measurements to control critical dimensions and defectivity; analyze results to drive improvements.
- Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and yield.
- Execute maintenance and repair activities for equipment and components; coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Develop and optimize excursion prevention and detection systems for equipment and processes.
- Support process development items aligned to high-volume process nodes and participate in technology transfers across sites, including training and qualification audits.
- Lead equipment installation, conversion, and qualification during factory ramps to meet schedule, safety, and matching criteria.
- Document and communicate findings to peers, engineering teams, and customers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, operational abilities, and behavioral attributes.
- Hardware and software proficiency for test module operation and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills and preference for hands-on manufacturing work.
- Statistical data analysis and automation skills (examples: JMP, SQL Pathfinder).
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to coordinate with engineering and customers.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with test program methodologies and integration debugging.
- Willingness to work on-site and cover required shift (Shift 1, Malaysia).
- Nice-to-have: mechanical design and electrical circuitry knowledge; experience with ATE V93K tester and Hon P handler; enterprise-level solution architecture experience.
Education Requirements
Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechatronics or Computer Science).
