Job Title

Test Hardware Engineer

Role Summary

Manage and deliver ATE (Automated Test Equipment) hardware solutions from planning through production release. Collaborate with ATE Test Engineers and vendors to provide loadboards, probe cards, test sockets, and change kits supporting AI-focused power delivery products.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include managing hardware projects, ensuring production readiness, and coordinating with vendors and test engineering.

  • Project-manage design and logistics of loadboards, probe cards, test sockets, and change kits from definition to production release.
  • Review and validate ATE hardware request forms.
  • Review schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs for compliance and manufacturability.
  • Support first-article builds, debug, and correlation activities on ATE.
  • Maintain test-team inventory and track ATE hardware status.
  • Serve as primary vendor contact and coordinate shipments and deliveries.
  • Develop and own vendor tier strategy for ATE hardware items.
  • Interface with ATE test engineering and PCB design to meet NPI timelines.
  • Provide technical expertise for module testing on ATE/handlers.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 5+ years experience in the semiconductor industry, with hands-on work on Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Proficiency with ATE analog and digital instruments.
  • Strong PCB layout skills with focus on parasitic reduction.
  • Demonstrated debug and troubleshooting experience on test hardware.
  • Experience managing vendors and coordinating hardware production and logistics.
  • Project management experience supporting hardware NPI.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with probe card, test socket, and loadboard manufacturing and vendor ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with ATE handlers and module-level testing workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
