Job Title

Test Equipment Engineer

Role Summary

Subject Matter Expert for final-test Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and handlers, responsible for developing and qualifying ATE used in semiconductor final testing. The role focuses on optimizing handler capability, scalability, flexibility, product testability and manufacturability.

Work with cross-functional teams (design, product, manufacturing) across time zones to deliver qualified, cost-effective test solutions for volume production.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ATE/final test environments.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define hardware and test requirements to ensure testability of new products.
  • Develop, qualify and document ATE and handler solutions from concept through factory release.
  • Collaborate with design, product and manufacturing teams across time zones.
  • Drive cost-improvement, automation and yield-improvement projects.
  • Support integration and troubleshooting of final-test handler ecosystems (pick-and-place, strip, turret, SPEA, etc.).
  • Manage multiple parallel projects and meet project delivery timelines.
  • Perform travel on short notice and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (iFlex, LTX, VLCT); Eagle preferred.
  • Well-versed in final-test handlers and ecosystems, especially SPEA handler/tester.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices, circuits and analog test techniques.
  • Data analysis experience (Spotfire).
  • Experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Strong understanding of the IC product development process from concept to volume production.

Nice-to-have / Preferred:

  • Experience with final-test test cell ecosystem at TI manufacturing sites.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Time-management skills and ability to drive results in yield improvement, cost reduction and automation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Degree Level: Bachelor's).
