Test Equipment Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for ensuring availability, reliability, and performance of semiconductor test equipment used in production. The role supports equipment recovery, qualification, validation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement to meet manufacturing and quality targets.
Works closely with Process, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams to optimize tester utilization, reduce cycle time, and improve yield through equipment engineering and data-driven troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include operational support, qualification, and process improvement for production test systems.
- Own equipment uptime metrics (OEE), MTBF, MTTR and drive improvements.
- Provide rapid recovery and engineering support for tester, handler, SLT, burn-in, and motherboard systems during production escalations.
- Analyze recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions; perform failure analysis and equipment correlation to support yield.
- Lead installation, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), characterization, and release of new test equipment; produce qualification reports and documentation.
- Manage equipment lifecycle, upgrades, and obsolescence planning.
- Identify throughput bottlenecks and implement productivity and cycle-time improvements; optimize tester utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve equipment-related manufacturing issues.
- Leverage AI/automation for data analysis, predictive analytics, troubleshooting, and knowledge management to improve equipment performance.
