Test Equipment Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for development, procurement, installation, calibration and operation of test instruments and control devices for semiconductor test operations at Micron's Sanand site. The role leads test execution, analyzes test results, and produces technical reports to support engineering and manufacturing decisions.

Work contributes to reliable test infrastructure and high-quality manufacturing outputs.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Specific years of experience not stated; prior experience in test equipment engineering or a similar role is expected.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Direct and coordinate engineering activities for development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices.
• Plan and lead test operations, including defining test conditions and coordinating operational, functional, and performance test phases.
• Analyze and interpret test data to identify issues and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports for engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system improvements and support process optimization efforts, including AI-enabled solutions where applicable.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Proven experience in test equipment engineering or a closely related role.
• Practical experience with instrument installation, calibration, and test operations coordination.
• Ability to analyze complex test data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear technical reports.
• Collaborative working style, proactive problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-have: familiarity with AI-enabled process improvement or generative-AI insights applied to operational metrics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
