Job Title

Test Engineering Intern, MS - Summer 2027

Role Summary

On-site internship within Marvell's Operations test development team. The role supports silicon test and validation activities: verify test programs, perform silicon bring-up and characterization, debug unexpected behavior, and help ensure product readiness for sampling and production.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. No specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Work under mentor and team lead to validate and improve test coverage and reliability.

  • Verify test code and test programs across many individual parts and identify anomalous results.
  • Replicate failures on the test bench and perform correlation exercises with design and verification teams to determine root cause.
  • Contribute to new silicon bring-up, sampling, qualification, characterization, and production test program releases.
  • Develop or modify test code and testing strategies when needed to cover new features or equipment limits.
  • Help optimize test time and yield for production testers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, program management, and operations.

Requirements

Key skills and constraints for successful candidates.

  • Basic understanding of hardware products, PCBs, electronics manufacturing, or product development processes.
  • Ability to organize technical information, summarize data, and communicate clearly in a team setting.
  • Comfortable working under the direction of a mentor and learning from engineers across disciplines and regions.
  • Familiarity with test instrumentation and automated testers is a plus (oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, Teradyne Ultraflex, Advantest 93K).
  • Experience with Python, Visual Basic, or C is advantageous but not strictly required.
  • May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; non-U.S. applicants may be subject to export license review.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Coursework or project experience in electronics, circuits, embedded systems, manufacturing, or mechanical design is preferred.
